About the position

Global InfoTek, Inc. is seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is crucial in supporting our customers, particularly within the Air Force organization, where customer satisfaction is paramount. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be part of a passionate team dedicated to solving high-impact problems and enhancing operational effectiveness through innovative technology solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that our DevSecOps practices are aligned with agile methodologies and best practices in the industry. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all implementations, ensuring that processes are transparent and easily understandable. You will leverage your expertise in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications, which is essential for the successful deployment of our services. A significant part of your responsibilities will include building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise environment, which consists of hundreds of applications. Your experience with cloud systems and architectures, such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, will be invaluable as you work to optimize our cloud-based solutions. Additionally, you will utilize your knowledge of Linux and scripting languages, such as Bash and Python, to automate processes and improve efficiency. Your extensive experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Jenkins, Packer, Terraform, and Ansible will be critical in streamlining our deployment processes. You will also be involved in the development and management of Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm, ensuring that our container orchestration is robust and scalable. Responsibilities

  • Support customers by implementing DevSecOps practices and methodologies.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all implementations.
  • Develop, test, and maintain containerized applications.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise environment.
  • Work with cloud systems and architectures such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Utilize Linux and scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in DevSecOps or related field.
  • Deep understanding of agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications.
  • Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud systems and architectures (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC).
  • Development experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with microservice architectures (REST, JMS, AMQP).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Istio.
  • Ability to work on high-performing teams supporting multiple projects.
