About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer at I2X Technologies plays a crucial role in supporting the Federal Government by performing technical planning, design, development, and integration throughout the total system life cycle. This position focuses on ensuring cybersecurity standards are met while developing and maintaining software and hardware solutions for various government initiatives, particularly in space exploration and national security.

Responsibilities

  • Performs technical planning, design, development, and integration for total system life cycle.
  • Conducts analyses at all levels of system product including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Incorporates design methods and standards for cybersecurity, software, and hardware infrastructure.
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software.
  • Ensures logical conversion of customer/product requirements into total system solutions aligned to software and hardware deployment.
  • Applies standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
  • Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve program problems, output/input, and data acquisition.
  • Validates incorporation of features and use cases into implemented designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Must have Secret clearance, with the ability to upgrade to TS.
  • Experience with standard system administration tasks.
  • Red Hat/Linux administration experience.
  • Experience with writing and updating documentation.
  • Ability to travel locally (up to 10%).
  • Compliance with DOD 8570, with CompTIA Security+ being current (within 3 years) within 90 days of assignment.
  • Experience with virtualized operating system concepts and administration.
  • Experience with system provisioning automation tools (CHEF, Puppet, Ansible).
  • Experience with basic scripting/coding tasks.
  • Experience with storage solutions (NAS, etc.).
  • Information Assurance (IA) hardening and compliance, i.e., STIG & DSS compliance, documentation, etc.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to apply extensive technical knowledge to complex technical problems.
