About the position

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic Systems Engineering team. This role is crucial for integrating security practices with DevOps processes, ensuring a secure and efficient development lifecycle. The DevSecOps Engineer will collaborate closely with Systems Engineers to enhance existing infrastructure, focusing on security and resilience in our cloud-native environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain secure infrastructure practices for Linux and Kubernetes environments.
• Develop and integrate automated security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Regularly perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, leading remediation efforts.
• Stay current with industry security threats and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance of new and existing security practices with industry requirements.
• Implement essential controls and policies to meet compliance standards.
• Serve as the primary contact for the security incident response process, developing and maintaining incident response protocols.
• Provide training and mentorship on security best practices and tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a DevSecOps or DevOps role with hands-on experience in securing Linux and Kubernetes environments.
• Expertise in security architecture and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, and GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with Bash, Python, and PowerShell languages.
• Extensive expertise in SIEMs, monitoring tools, and data/metrics aggregation.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills for conveying complex technical information.
• Solid experience in cloud security, focusing on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
