About the position

This role is a DevSecOps position focused on Digital Transformation (DX) and building the next generation of infrastructure. The position involves high customer engagement and collaboration with engineers, developers, and scientists across multiple departments to deliver new capabilities. The candidate will provide day-to-day user support of multiple Kubernetes environments and work closely with senior engineers to design the DevSecOps architecture. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with IT Systems Engineers to build the necessary infrastructure to scale the operations. A significant component of this position is Infrastructure as Code (IaC), allowing candidates to enhance their scripting and programming skills. The role includes working with various container run-times and Kubernetes distributions to deploy applications across the environment. The candidate will also partner with multiple development teams to ensure their CI/CD Pipelines can fully leverage the infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day user support of multiple Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design the DevSecOps architecture.
• Work with IT Systems Engineers to build the infrastructure necessary to scale operations.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enhance scripting and programming skills.
• Deploy applications across various container run-times and Kubernetes distributions.
• Partner with development teams to optimize CI/CD Pipelines.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• Linux OS Administration
• Scripting and/or Programming skills (Python, Shell, Powershell, C++, etc.)
• Proven business acumen to manage multiple assignments and projects
• Demonstrated collaboration and teaming skills at all levels of the organization.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Experience with containers and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Podman, LXC, Singularity/Apptainer, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and version control such as Git
• Kubernetes Orchestration Experience
• Test Driven Development Experience
