About the position

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL. This role is part of the Data Stewardship program, focusing on investigating failed audits from 2020. The successful candidate will implement DevSecOps practices and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise, ensuring a strong security-first mindset throughout the development process.

Responsibilities

• Implement DevSecOps practices using tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, or similar, with expertise in at least one.
• Develop, test, and maintain containerized applications.
• Utilize source version control, build/release tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work in Agile environments to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with different clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Master's preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Python, R, etc.).
• Experience in Agile Development and Git Operations.
• Minimum 1-year experience in DevSecOps implementation.
• Passion for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in a large enterprise.
• Strong security-first mindset required.
• At least an 'Interim Secret' security clearance, while Top Secret clearance eligible for SCI is preferred.
