About the position

Global InfoTek, Inc. is seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team dedicated to supporting our customers, particularly within the Air Force organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our customers' needs are prioritized while we build and shape innovative solutions. The DevSecOps Engineer will focus on designing and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) solutions specifically tailored for on-premises, air-gapped systems. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of both conventional and cloud-native applications, and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively across various projects. In this role, the DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for planning and leading significant technology assignments, evaluating performance results, and recommending major changes that could impact short-term project growth and success. As a technical expert, the engineer will function across the team and tasks, potentially leading other team members in their efforts. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex problems. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of agile and DevSecOps methodologies, with hands-on experience in implementing these practices using tools such as Jenkins and Gitlab. The engineer will also be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation for implementations, developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications, and managing CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise environment. Familiarity with cloud systems and architectures, as well as experience in software development using various programming languages, will be essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) solutions for on-premises, air-gapped systems.
• Plan and lead major technology assignments and evaluate performance results.
• Recommend changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Function as a technical expert across the team and tasks, potentially leading others.
• Create and maintain documentation for implementations.
• Develop, test, and maintain containerized applications.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise with hundreds of applications.
• Work with cloud systems and architectures such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Packer, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Collaborate with high-performing teams supporting multiple projects and personnel.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
• Bachelor of Science Degree.
• Deep understanding of agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Experience with Jenkins, Gitlab, or similar tools for DevSecOps implementation.
• Proficient in creating and maintaining documentation for implementations.
• Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications.
• Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Software Build processes.
• Skillset capable of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise.
• Experience with cloud systems and architectures (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
• Development experience with Java, Spring framework, JBoss, Python, JavaScript, node.js, and/or Angular.
• Extensive experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Packer, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with microservice architectures (REST, JMS, AMQP).
• Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Bash and Python).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
