About the position

The Senior DevSecOps Engineer at Lockheed Martin is responsible for integrating security practices within the software development lifecycle. This role involves maintaining development infrastructure, performing system administration functions, and collaborating with development, operations, and security teams to ensure compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate will leverage automation tools and possess strong technical expertise in cloud technologies and security principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain development infrastructure and perform system administration functions to support development efforts.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using automation tools.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to address security concerns.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify security vulnerabilities.
• Stay updated with the latest security threats and DevSecOps trends.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to information security.

Requirements

• 5 - 10 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Proficient in coding, scripting, and automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of security principles, practices, and tools.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with GitLab and GitLab pipelines.
• Understanding of the security accreditation process and ATO process.
• Experience with Nexus repositories and VMware.
• Certificate Authority and Domain Name Server experience.
