Responsibilities

• Support United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software for Space Systems Command (SSC) Defensive Cyber Operations.
• Adhere to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles in development activities.
• Automate the integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle.
• Develop software solutions to protect, defend, and respond to USSF mission systems.
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve pipeline experience.
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
• Perform root cause analysis for development environment errors.
• Investigate and resolve technical CI/CD issues.
• Develop scripts to automate visualization.
• Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
• Build and implement new development tools and infrastructure.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in engineering activities in government or development contractor environments.
• Proficiency in at least 2 programming languages: React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
• Experience with databases, SQL, Gitlab, and Artifactory.
• Familiarity with Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, Ansible, Docker, GIT, RHEL, Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud, and Nifi.
• Experience in Agile software development and project management.
• Knowledge of defensive cyber military operations and software development life cycle management.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command.
• Experience with Defensive Cyber Operations (SSC/SZWO) program office.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related STEM field with 18 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 10 years of experience.
• SAFe for Teams & AWS Dev Ops Engineer certification within 6 months of start date.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance; Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility is highly desired.
