About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer Senior role at SAIC involves supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center in the development and maintenance of the Secret and Below Releasable Environment (SABRE) program within Air Force Cloud One. This position focuses on migrating legacy applications to a cloud environment while ensuring security and compliance with DoD standards. The role requires a strong background in cloud technologies, automation, and security practices, contributing to critical military programs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and SRE principles.
  • Maintain and develop automation and continuous build/integration/deployment infrastructure for multiple environments; write, build and deploy scripts.
  • Enable observability and resilience throughout multi-cloud landing zones and Dev/Test/Prod environments.
  • Support implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines, and governance.
  • Continuously assess, onboard, and enable new FedRAMP cloud services using security best practices for IAM and networking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Proven background working in cloud environments with experience in Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory).
  • Experience with CSPs including Azure, AWS, or OCI.
  • Knowledge of containerization and container management with Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or Bash Scripting.
  • Experience with security automation tools such as SAST and DAST.
  • Familiarity with cyber tools like Aviatrix, Orca, Splunk, Qmulous, and STIG scanner.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, GitFlow and/or GitHub Flow.
  • Understanding of cloud high availability and scalability best practices and architectures.
