About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer will be an integral part of a small, agile team dedicated to building advanced data pipelines, AI/ML-based analytics capabilities, and user interface functionalities for U.S. Government clients. This role requires a talented and versatile individual with an active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI security clearance and Full Scope Polygraph. The team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where open communication is essential for designing effective solutions and delivering high-quality code. In this position, the DevSecOps Engineer will focus on converting existing environments and applications to be cloud-native, utilizing Kubernetes for orchestration. The role involves working extensively with Linux operating systems, specifically RockyLinux, and supporting cloud-to-edge DevSecOps solutions. The engineer will also be responsible for maintaining a variety of systems, ensuring that they are optimized for performance and security. The ideal candidate will have experience in hosting containerized mission applications and developing automated configuration management processes and deployment pipelines for remote devices. They will be expected to deliver production-ready infrastructure, tackle complex problems, and provide innovative solutions while monitoring the current state and patch levels of installed hardware and software deployments. Additionally, the engineer will support general IT operations, user support, and compliance with IT policies.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines and AI/ML-based analytics capabilities for U.S. Government customers.
  • Convert environments and applications to be cloud-native using Kubernetes.
  • Work with Linux operating systems, specifically RockyLinux.
  • Support cloud-to-edge DevSecOps solutions and maintain various systems.
  • Host containerized mission applications and develop automated configuration management processes.
  • Deliver production-ready infrastructure and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Monitor the current state and patch level of installed hardware and software deployments.
  • Support general IT operations, user support, and compliance with IT policies.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance + Full Scope Polygraph required.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins / Gitlab CI).
  • Experience with deployment automation tools (e.g., Docker/Podman and Kubernetes).
  • Experience working in Agile processes for full life cycle development.
  • Experience hosting containerized mission applications.
  • Experience developing automated configuration management processes and pipelines for deployment to remote devices.
  • Experience delivering production-ready infrastructure and solving complex problems.
  • Ability to monitor hardware and software deployments and ensure compliance with IT policies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience deploying software to U.S. Government secure enterprise environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
