About the position

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps professional to support a classified Geospatial Intelligence program outside of San Diego, CA. The team is looking for a deployment engineer to develop automated pipelines for cloud environments in support of the adoption of Analytical Modeling Capabilities for the agency. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and offers a hybrid work environment, requiring in-office presence 2-3 times a week.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated pipelines for RHEL cloud environments and support automated build, test and release deployments
• Work in a DevSecOps culture and support teams for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of containerized applications
• Automate orchestration using Kubernetes
• Utilize Docker and container orchestration management tools
• Understand AWS cloud services
• Use Ansible, Terraform or equivalent configuration management tools
• Develop Infrastructure as Code with basic scripting & software development packages.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance required
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
• 7+ years of prior relevant experience
• Experience with Docker containerization and orchestration
• Experience with OpenShift or related tools for deployments
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and environments (AWS/Azure)
• Knowledge of DevSecOps development process (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, CI/CD)
• Knowledge and experience supporting RHEL infrastructure
• Software development knowledge, specifically in Python or Java scripting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with container orchestration management tools
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes
• Experience with cloud services beyond AWS, such as Azure.
