About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer role at Leidos involves supporting the Cyber TRIDENT Program by guiding the definition, implementation, and delivery of capabilities focused on Cyber Training systems. The position requires expertise in infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment across the software development lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on creating and leading automated CI/CD pipeline processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support complex software and hardware systems' rapid development, security, testing, validation, and fielding based on established DevSecOps requirements.
  • Create, lead, and implement processes and tools for an automated CI/CD pipeline-based DevSecOps system.
  • Work across development, security, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure DevSecOps tools and processes support holistic system development and integration.
  • Coach and review the work of lower-level technical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field and 4 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps concepts and best practices.
  • Fundamental knowledge of software design patterns and programming languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with software development teams and customers.
  • Ability to support program execution in classified environments.
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Experience with commercial cloud infrastructure deployment environments such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with automated provisioning and configuration tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or similar.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, network administration, and networking protocols/functions (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, DNS).
  • Experience provisioning and managing resources within IaaS/Cloud infrastructures (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
  • Experience with automated test tools like Katalon, Selenium, Cucumber, or JMeter.
  • Experience owning entire projects or processes within a technical area.
