About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer role is a critical position within the expanding DevSecOps (DSO) team, providing essential support to the Managed Application, Infrastructure, Networking, Enterprise, and Security Services (MAINES) contract. This position involves collaboration with various teams and stakeholders, acting as a primary technical point of contact, and facilitating communication between technical and non-technical groups. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, experience in client-facing roles, and the ability to manage complex engineering problems and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve in a client-facing role and regularly interact with multiple stakeholders.
  • Provide support to new clients entering the CI/CD pipeline and DevSecOps process.
  • Contribute to the completion of major engineering programs and may function in a project leadership role.
  • Develop solutions to complex engineering problems of advanced scope and complexity.
  • Manage multiple high-priority projects, tasks, and deadlines, shifting focus as necessary to meet due dates.
  • Perform complex systems design, development, and integration throughout the systems life cycle.
  • Oversee complex infrastructure, including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems and application software.
  • Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Provide solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for engineering projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in Computer Science/Information Technology.
  • 4+ years' experience as a DevSecOps developer or Systems Engineer managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and meeting etiquette.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple applications.
  • Experience with DevSecOps implementation using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to work with AWS via console and command line.
  • Experience configuring and deploying Kubernetes clusters, with practical experience in AWS EKS preferred.
  • 3+ years' practical experience with infrastructure as code deployments, preferably with Terraform.
