About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer role at Insight Global, Inc. involves supporting a Navy Program aimed at enhancing tactical operations through advanced shipboard intelligence and warfare systems. This hybrid position allows for work from either Chantilly, VA or Austin, TX, and focuses on developing open-architecture software solutions to facilitate rapid decision-making in military contexts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the design and implementation of distributed server-based infrastructure and modern web-based applications.
• Work with hardware or software designers/engineers and analysts to develop, analyze, and evaluate hardware, software, and systems.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to determine advantages and disadvantages of potential solutions in virtual, web-based, and desktop applications.
• Collaborate with the development and testing team to devise quality and performance-related metrics and continuous testing systems.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of DevOps-related practices and culture.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelors or Master Degree in STEM or Applicable Discipline
• 12+ years of DevOps or DevSecOps Engineering experience
• Experience within Microservices environment
• Experience with Kafka
• Experience using Kubernetes and/or Docker for containerization
• Experience developing in Java
• Working knowledge of Bash, Python, and/or GO
• Experience operating within a Linux environment (Red Hat or CentOS)
• Strong experience with DevOps oriented tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Experience with MongoDB or similar database.

Nice-to-haves

• Kubernetes, Ansible or Terraform Certifications
• Experience with SonarQube
• Security Certifications such as CYSA+, CISSP, CASP+ etc.
