About the position

As a DevSecOps Engineer at Veryon, you will be instrumental in defining, maintaining, and implementing the company's security strategy. Your role will involve applying your expertise in information security technologies to combat cyber threats and ensure compliance with regulations. You will engineer and manage security measures to protect Veryon's engineering infrastructure and applications from vulnerabilities and cyber-attacks, while collaborating with various teams to integrate security into the development process.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement Veryon's security strategy.
• Engage with stakeholders to build collaboration mechanisms.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk profiling.
• Lead the Security Champions pilot program to promote security-first coding practices.
• Optimize security monitoring dashboards and alert resolution processes.
• Deliver regular reporting on organizational security status.
• Identify and implement new security innovations across infrastructure.
• Enhance cloud security posture through audits and benchmarking.
• Integrate security measures into the DevOps pipeline.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant working experience in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of 'security by design' and 'privacy by design' concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tooling (GitLab, Kubernetes, IAM, etc.).
• Proficiency in two or more programming/scripting languages.
• Strong planning, strategic thinking, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented approach.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud infrastructure security (AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of security monitoring tools and incident response processes.
• Familiarity with compliance and governance standards (ISO, GDPR, SOC 2).
