About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer role is focused on executing full life cycle activities in support of various DevSecOps tools, primarily within AWS and EKS environments. This position involves collaboration with architects and engineers to design and implement solutions, build applications following best practices, and ensure the automation of processes. The role is critical in enhancing the security, efficiency, and scalability of the DevSecOps ecosystem while maintaining documentation and conducting code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with architect, principal and lead engineer, and other team members on design and implement tasks.
• Plan and build roadmaps for the EKS and AWS DevOps Implementation.
• Build Applications with EKS and AWS best practices.
• Accountable for meeting milestones.
• Conduct code review, unit and integration testing.
• Document system design and unit testing information.
• Automation of manual steps.
• AWS and EKS operations.
• Build the Agreed upon App that leverages EKS, Cloudnative concepts and implement in production.
• Retrospect on the current implementation and document for future use.
• Administer AWS console where Cloudbees Agent exists on the EC2 instance.

Requirements

• Hands on with EKS and AWS.
• Hands on with Python, Shell scripting.
• Hands on skills with Cloudbees, BitBucket, Sonar, Artifactory, CloudNative Practices.
• Outstanding knowledge in Continuous Integration (CI), Testing (CT), Security and deployment (CD) concepts.
• Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
• Apply engineering principles to improve resiliency, performance, efficiency and scalability of the DevSecOps ecosystem.
• Find opportunities and build automation to reduce teams interdependency.
• Linux administration.
• Windows administration.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Self-starter and quick learner.
• Be part of on call rotation.
