About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer at Sev1tech, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the United States Coast Guard's Software Factory Implementation and Sustainment. This position involves developing and maintaining cloud-based solutions within an Agile/DevSecOps team, focusing on delivering effective solutions through short sprint cycles. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a cloud-based solution for a Software Factory.
• Collaborate with team members and customers to demo and deliver solutions via short sprint cycles.
• Adapt to a rapidly changing environment and learn quickly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent industry experience in Software Development.
• 8+ years of demonstrated federal or commercial cloud development experience in AWS.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Perl, and other scripting languages.
• Experience with applications, frameworks, and tools including Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, GitLab, Docker, Ansible, Nexus, SonarQube, Twistlock, Jira, Confluence, Mural, Maven, Junit, Selenium, Corestack, Kubediff/Terradiff.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
