About the position

The position involves working as a DevSecOps Engineer at DTCC, focusing on L3-4 Engineering Design, Build, Operations, Security, and Automation Development. The role is integral to supporting innovative technologies that empower financial markets, with responsibilities spanning across various applications and technology solutions managed in a DevSecOps environment. The position offers a flexible/hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of onsite and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Drive L3-4 Engineering Design, Build, Operations, Security, and Automation Development.
  • Engage in Solution Design Services and Solution Engineering for Tool Platforms.
  • Enhance operational architecture design and service features.
  • Manage automation build engineering and operate services lifecycle.
  • Oversee roadmap upgrades, patches, bug fixes, and infrastructure operational stability.
  • Administer Linux systems and tools, including monitoring and alerting.
  • Conduct disaster recovery and vendor management activities.
  • Ensure compliance and security through security engineering and audit activities.
  • Provide L3/L4 tools and pipelines support, including on-call support 24/7.
  • Facilitate integration consultation and development efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of diverse work experience in DevSecOps Platform Engineering in a high-paced production environment.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Expertise in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
  • Proficient in Red Hat Linux 8 and container technologies like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with middleware and J2EE technologies such as Tomcat, Java, and Groovy.
  • Knowledge of databases including PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle, and Aurora.
  • Familiarity with automation infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like Ansible, Chef, Terraform, and scripting languages such as Python and Groovy.
  • Experience with CI/CD development using Jenkins pipelines with Groovy.
  • System administration experience with tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Fortify, SonarQube, and Nexus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in product lifecycle management.
  • Strong scripting/application development experience in Java, Groovy, Python, or similar modern languages.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Work experience in an agile project management environment.
