About the position

As a DevSecOps Engineer at Global Payments, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing infrastructure and processes that support the company's payment solutions. This role requires proficiency in infrastructure-as-code, deployment orchestration, and application tooling, with a focus on maintaining and improving existing systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, test, implement, deploy, configure, and validate systems.
  • Collaborate and communicate with business and technical teams.
  • Analyze existing systems and deploy new systems.
  • Maintain and utilize system documentation; perform and document maintenance and adhere to system standards.
  • Execute basic code and command line interface (CLI) for internal cloud deliverables, on-prem solutions, and/or mainframe supported solutions.
  • Provide support in updating documentation related to controls and procedures.
  • Provide support in monitoring to ensure compliance and system accuracy.
  • Create appropriate deliverables throughout the life cycle.
  • Assist and perform maintenance and firmware upgrades.
  • Recommend solutions to address current system deficiencies and improvements.
  • Consult with senior engineers on performing corrective measures for deficiencies and escalate alternative proposals.
  • Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity exercises as needed.
  • Perform User Administration and backup/recovery for encryption systems.
  • Support projects, issues, and troubleshooting with an understanding of the encryption system.
  • Apply understanding of Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance principles to procedures, methodology, and application standards.

Requirements

  • Basic COBOL experience, JCL, z/OS, DB2, IMS, TSO/ISPF.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud environments, including AWS or GCP.
  • Basic knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Github; Basic Terraform experience.
  • Experience as System Administrator or Hardware/Infrastructure Administrator is preferred.
  • Four-year college degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related field plus one year related experience; relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Available to provide 24/7 support.
  • Available to travel, 10%.
  • Ability to work in a high volume availability environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
