About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer at SciTec is responsible for managing the integration, scanning, and deployment of applications within orchestrated frameworks. This role requires collaboration with development teams to ensure smooth deployments across various environments while maintaining a focus on quality and security. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded engineer who thrives in a team setting and is eager to learn and grow in their development career.

Responsibilities

  • Manage integration, scanning, and deployment of multiple applications into orchestrated frameworks
  • Work with development teams to orchestrate multiple deployments to development, test and operational environments
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • At least three years professional experience building and executing DevOps or DevSecOps solutions using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), such as GitLab-ci or Jenkins
  • Strong experience maintaining deployment environments for development, test, and production
  • Experience with software supply chain security
  • At least one year professional experience using Linux operating systems
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Detail oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong experience with software vulnerability scanning with static and dynamic code analysis
  • Strong experience with package artifact management using JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, or similar
  • Experience designing and developing application container deployment solutions using docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Experience with software vulnerability remediation
  • Development experience in Python, C++, or JavaScript
  • Experience with version control using Git
  • Systems and service administration in a linux environment, including the installation and maintenance of applications supporting CI/CD like GitLab, Jenkins, etc.
  • Security+ Certification
