As a DevSecOps Engineer at Avnet, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing large-scale information technology (IT) architecture solutions that address business problems while aligning with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. Your responsibilities will include defining systems strategies and solution roadmaps, taking projects from the original idea to the desired outcome. You will leverage your knowledge across all IT disciplines to design solutions that positively impact the company, ensuring that they meet the needs of various stakeholders. In this position, you will create, develop, and implement solutions that address infrastructure and security requirements. You will identify the needs for build automation and design and implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) solutions. Consulting on DevSecOps requirements from diverse application and line of business partners will be a key part of your role, as will creating reusable solutions and patterns for CICD pipelines. You will also be responsible for publishing and disseminating best practices, patterns, and solutions related to CICD, ensuring that service uptime and response time Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) are met or exceeded. Your role will involve building and maintaining CICD building blocks and shared libraries proactively, enabling quicker build and deployment for application and development teams. You will design action plans to address any shortcomings or difficulties with the CICD platform, tools, or solutions. Additionally, you will ensure that incident tracking tools are updated according to established norms and processes, gathering essential data and documenting any discoveries and concerns. Identifying management concerns and problems, assessing them, and offering prompt solutions or escalation will also be part of your responsibilities. Finally, you will create and publish engineering platforms and solutions that enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the IT architecture.
