As a DevSecOps Engineer at Raft, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles, ensuring that all processes are secure and efficient. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients to design and implement solutions using Kubernetes or Docker, as well as building CI/CD pipelines to facilitate smooth software updates. You will actively participate in applying GitOps principles for software delivery, ensuring that development and software continuous delivery and integrations adhere to security best practices throughout the process. Additionally, you will work on cloud deployment activities to ensure that configurations meet STIG or DOD required security standards. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in AWS and cloud technologies, along with your understanding of Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies. You will also utilize your networking experience and knowledge of Service-Mesh technologies, such as Istio, to enhance our solutions. Your familiarity with version control systems like GitLab and your experience in software systems development using CI/CD pipelines will be essential in driving our projects forward. You will be expected to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a passion for automation, system efficiency, and security. Moreover, you will be responsible for ensuring that the capabilities deployed meet security requirements and undergo rigorous testing. Your role will also involve working with log management and analytics tools, as well as being proficient in tools like AWS Cloud Services, GitLab, Ansible, Maven, and Gradle. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and the ability to obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days of employment are also key aspects of this role. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field is required, along with three or more years of relevant hands-on experience.
