About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer at Truist is responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) framework services for software applications. This role emphasizes creating self-service systems, providing production support for pipeline platforms, and guiding delivery teams in adopting DevSecOps practices. The engineer will leverage strong technical skills and collaboration abilities to enhance business value delivery through innovative solutions and best practices in the DevSecOps lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Guide, educate, and provide thought leadership to delivery teams on DevSecOps practices.
  • Champion the use of DevSecOps as a strategic asset for culture change.
  • Make informed decisions on tool selection based on proficiency with vendor products.
  • Develop and recommend DevSecOps best practices.
  • Design innovative solutions for complex components of the DevSecOps lifecycle.
  • Provide technical and process guidance to junior team members.
  • Build and maintain automation for software delivery and operations using vendor tools in the DevOps lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training or experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering or IT, with at least 4 years in DevOps Engineering or CI/CD pipeline support.
  • Demonstrated ability to write code.
  • Foundational cloud architecture knowledge.
  • Ability to construct basic application build pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, math, or related degree and 8+ years of experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure, particularly Linux and Windows OS, Storage, and Network.
  • Banking or financial services experience.
  • Professional experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Experience with VMWare vRealize Automation for infrastructure orchestration.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
  • Experience in developing and managing API integrations.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with source code management tools like Gitlab and GitHub.
