About the position

As a DevSecOps Engineer at Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi), you will be an integral part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary Agile team dedicated to designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge software solutions for Geospatial Intelligence analysis. This role places you at the forefront of technology, where you will contribute to the development and operation of a powerful platform that transforms disparate data into actionable intelligence. Your work will directly impact the capabilities of analysts who support U.S. Government missions, providing them with the tools necessary to gain a strategic advantage over adversaries by leveraging massive volumes of Geospatial Intelligence data. In this position, you will collaborate closely with Release Train Leadership, Agile Teams, and the System Team to facilitate the rapid delivery of capabilities through a secure Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire pipeline, including source control, continuous integration, automated testing, security scanning, artifact storage, and automated deployment to development, test, and production environments. You will be a key player in ensuring that the software delivery process is efficient, secure, and reliable, utilizing the latest technologies in Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and DevSecOps. To succeed in this role, you must possess an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access and a willingness to undergo a CI Polygraph. Your technical expertise will be critical as you build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines across multiple domains, establish best practices for software development processes, and automate operations to enhance reliability and repeatability. You will also work closely with developers and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of solutions, making your contributions vital to the success of the team and the missions we support.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines managing deployments across multiple domains.
  • Establish best practices for source control, build, integration, automated testing, security scanning, and delivery of applications.
  • Collaborate with developers and SREs to ensure end-to-end delivery of solutions.
  • Automate development and operations processes to ensure reliability and repeatability.
  • Leverage Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code to automate deployments.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access and willingness to obtain CI Polygraph.
  • Experience with GitLab, BitBucket, GitHub Enterprise or similar source repository and CI/CD collaboration platform.
  • Experience with platforms such as Kubernetes, EKS, OpenShift or another container orchestration platform.
  • Experience with Docker or similar container technology.
  • Experience with building/compiling Java, Python or Javascript applications.
  • Experience with Nexus or similar artifact repository in air gapped environments.
  • Understanding of all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAFe Agile Methodologies.
  • Information Assurance/DoD 8570 certification IAT Level II or higher (like Security+) (or willing to obtain within 6 months).
  • Technical background in Software Development or SecDevOps.
  • Experience with Cloud Computing and Hybrid On-Prem solutions.
  • AWS Certification (Developer, DevOps, Architect, etc.).
  • Experience with Security/Software Supply Chain scanning.
  • Experience with Automated Test, Static Code Analysis.
  • Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet or similar Configuration Management technology.
  • Experience with ArgoCD or similar continuous delivery technology.
  • Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as code tool.
