About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer at Axient will focus on Cyber Security for US government systems, managing multiple IT security plans while collaborating with developers, data analysts, and system administrators. This role emphasizes IT security, requiring a strong background in various server environments and risk management, along with opportunities for professional growth and peer support.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple government IT security plans.
• Interface with internal and external customers.
• Oversee IT security tasks, including incident response and documentation.
• Manage user accounts and permissions on Windows and Linux servers.
• Conduct vulnerability patching and remediation.
• Develop front-end web applications and perform general scripting tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related discipline from an ABET accredited school.
• 5 years of combined experience with Windows Server and Linux Server.
• Experience with SAMBA shares and Risk Management Framework.
• Knowledge of incident response and documentation (DAR).
• Ability to manage group, file, and folder permissions.
• Experience managing user accounts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with programming languages C# and C++.
• Familiarity with Group Policy Objects.
• Experience interfacing with and briefing customers at various organizational levels.
• Ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities.
