About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer at Leidos will play a crucial role in supporting the Cyber TRIDENT Program by guiding the definition, implementation, and delivery of capabilities focused on Cyber Training systems. This position involves leveraging expertise in infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment throughout the software development lifecycle, contributing to a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support complex software and hardware systems' rapid development, security, testing, validation, and fielding based on established DevSecOps requirements.
  • Create, lead, and implement processes and tools for an automated, CI/CD pipeline-based DevSecOps system.
  • Collaborate with development, security, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure DevSecOps tools and processes support system development and integration efforts.
  • Coach and review the work of lower-level technical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field and 4+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps concepts and best practices.
  • Fundamental knowledge of software design patterns and programming languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills to work effectively with software development teams and customers.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to support program execution in classified environments.
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Experience with commercial cloud infrastructure deployment environments such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with automated provisioning and configuration tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or similar.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, network administration, and networking protocols/functions (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, DNS).
  • Experience provisioning and managing resources within IaaS/Cloud infrastructures (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with automated test tools like Katalon, Selenium, Cucumber, or JMeter.
  • Experience owning entire projects or processes within a technical area.
