About the position

RP Professional Services, LLC is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to enhance their team. This role focuses on integrating security practices into DevOps processes, automating operations, and ensuring secure software delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, system administration, and security, and will be responsible for maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations while troubleshooting issues across various environments.

Responsibilities

  • Embed security practices and tools into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure secure software delivery.
  • Design, implement, and manage secure infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing, and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Manage and optimize secure cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Automate security checks and enforcement using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Implement and manage security monitoring and logging solutions, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
  • Work closely with development, IT operations, and security teams to foster a security-first culture.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for security processes, infrastructure, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in DevSecOps, Task Automation, or GitOps.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in installation, configuration, or implementation in one or more of the following software: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or similar.
  • Operating Software administration experience for Ubuntu, Debian, Alpine, RHEL.
  • Technical documentation writing experience.
  • DevOps Engineering certification for on-premises or public cloud is advantageous.
  • Experience with work planning and effort estimation is an advantage.
