About the position

The DevSec Ops Integration Engineer Principal at BAE Systems is responsible for the design, development, and administration of developer tools across multiple environments. This role involves working on CI/CD platforms, Git infrastructure, and centralized developer solutions, requiring expertise in Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and IT system security standards. The position aims to enhance the architecture for critical assurance disciplines that protect and enable people, data, and missions within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal customers, security, and management teams for maintaining production systems and resolving issues.
• Perform system maintenance including auditing logs, patching/upgrading software, backups, and user account management.
• Work with software development lifecycle concepts such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD).
• Install, maintain, and support multiple Windows and Linux based servers on physical and virtual platforms.
• Support engineering applications including JAMA, Syndia, Tasktop, and BAE Software Factory.
• Support Rancher environments, including Kubernetes, GitLab, Artifactory, Vault, and Grafana.
• Support DevSecOps tools such as Atlassian Tools, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
• Deploy new instances/enhancements/upgrades of applications in classified environments.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and the company.

Requirements

• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field plus 6 or more years of related experience.
• DoD 8570 compliance.
• Excellent documentation and organization skills.
• Solid troubleshooting skills across OS, Applications, and Network.
• Customer service oriented with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Linux servers, scripting, and support (Ansible).
• Experience with specialized network environments (air gapped, limited access).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and cloud-based technologies (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes).
• Experience with VMWare technologies (vSphere ESXI, vCenter, etc.).
• Experience with AWS services (KMS, VPC, IAM Roles, etc.).
• Experience with DevSecOps tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Kubernetes, etc.).
