About the position

The DevSecOps Intern position at Ohio Farmers Insurance Company is designed for individuals eager to immerse themselves in the world of DevSecOps, focusing on creating an automated Continuous Delivery Pipeline. This internship will provide hands-on experience with key technologies such as MuleSoft and Azure, where interns will develop a generic UCD deploy process that can be utilized in templates. The role will also involve defining Pipeline API services in Morpheus and establishing best practices for managing security within Azure DevOps. Additionally, interns will participate in the migration of Jenkins to Azure pipelines and work with DevLakes for Dora 4 metrics, integrating automated testing into the IDP and upgrading pipelines as necessary. The integration of MuleSoft with SonarCube and the automation of testing for UCD MuleSoft deploys will also be key components of the internship. Interns will assist the business unit in completing various tasks, which may include project work and day-to-day operations. Participation in training programs, workshops, and on-the-job learning opportunities will enhance their knowledge and skills related to the field. The internship will also include events such as Lunch and Learns, where interns can network and learn from professionals in the industry. Interns are expected to complete assigned tasks efficiently, conduct research, gather data, and analyze information relevant to their projects. They will collaborate with colleagues and supervisors, communicate progress, and actively participate in team discussions. The role requires interns to demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. They will develop business skills in communication and shadow other professionals, maintaining accurate records and preparing reports or presentations as required. Interns will also attend business unit meetings and create presentations to share their findings. Seeking feedback from supervisors and applying learning to enhance performance is crucial throughout the internship. For field roles, interns should expect to drive or travel at least 25% of their working time to perform essential functions, which may involve short notice travel or daily driving duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience.

  • For field roles: Valid driver's license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.
