About the position

The DevSecOps Lead position at Jacobs is a critical role supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. This position is located at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, and is not available for remote or telework options. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and building a DevSecOps pipeline from inception to operation. This includes specializing in the administration and operations of an environment, performing cybersecurity compliance, operational sustainment, and other general IT tasks to ensure continuous performance. The role requires effective communication and coordination with stakeholders, as well as training customers and stakeholders on the use of DevSecOps applications and tools. In addition to the technical responsibilities, the DevSecOps Lead will write code to automate the implementation and configuration of IT assets, attend engineering and architecture meetings, and serve as a technical expert on multiple IT domains related to DevSecOps projects. The candidate will also be responsible for downloading and installing critical patches on systems in accordance with MDA rules and guidelines, tracking resource utilization and performance of systems, and performing software testing duties as required. This position is integral to ensuring the success of DevSecOps projects and requires a strong background in software development, application integration, and cybersecurity compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, troubleshoot, and build a DevSecOps pipeline from inception to operation.
  • Specialize in the administration and operations of an environment and perform cybersecurity compliance, operational sustainment, and other general IT tasks as needed.
  • Train customers and stakeholders on the use of DevSecOps applications and tools.
  • Design, build, troubleshoot, maintain, operate, and provide customer support for GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Write code to automate implementation and configuration of IT assets (infrastructure, software, configurations, etc.).
  • Attend multiple engineering and architecture meetings and serve as technical expert on multiple IT domains related to DevSecOps projects.
  • Download and install critical patches on systems in accordance with MDA rules and guidelines.
  • Track resource utilization and performance of systems.
  • Perform modifications and upgrades as needed.
  • Perform software testing duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 8 years of general experience; Master's degree and 6 years of general experience.
  • Must have 7 years of related experience in one or more of the following: software developer, application integration specialist, or in fields related to enterprise application integration (EAI) experience and/or specific business domain experience.
  • Must have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification).
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must have DevSecOps process experience.
