About the position

The DevSecOps Manager at Seakeeper is responsible for enhancing application development security across all business segments while promoting a culture of security awareness. This role involves integrating security practices into the development process, mentoring a team of DevOps professionals, and ensuring compliance with security standards throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The manager will also collaborate with various teams to implement secure CI/CD pipelines and address vulnerabilities in code and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Build a security-aware culture by integrating security testing into the development process.
  • Review code and security posture, communicating cross-functionally to meet timelines and drive security standards.
  • Hire, mentor, coach, and build a team of DevOps professionals.
  • Develop and implement secure cloud CI/CD pipelines and define compliance metrics.
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC.
  • Collaborate with the Embedded Software and Systems Development team on DevOps initiatives.
  • Manage code repository platforms and ensure platform security.
  • Implement security technologies to identify and remediate application vulnerabilities.
  • Develop threat modeling metrics aligned with IT Security platforms.
  • Architect and manage CaaS or IaaS for code development and testing.
  • Conduct extensive code reviews and analysis, writing reports on compliance with secure coding practices.
  • Create efficiency toolkits for engineers to implement technologies faster while maintaining security.
  • Translate business needs into technology solutions using Agile Framework.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information Systems.
  • 7+ years of experience in a DevSecOps role.
  • Experience leading a team of direct reports.
  • Proficiency with various DevOps tools and automation technologies.
  • Strong experience with Linux administration, containerization, and microservices architecture.
  • Extensive experience with build pipelines on embedded technology.
  • Atlassian administration experience (BitBucket, Jira, Confluence).
  • Git experience and artifact management experience.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with automation technologies (Jenkins, Terraform, Helm).
