About the position

Global InfoTek, Inc. is seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team, dedicated to supporting our customers and enhancing the Air Force organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our customers remain the top priority while we build and shape innovative solutions. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be part of a passionate team of high-impact problem solvers, working in a remote capacity from locations such as San Antonio and Colorado Springs. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in agile and DevSecOps methodologies to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for various implementations. Your experience in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications will be crucial as you work with cloud systems and architectures, including Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise environment that encompasses hundreds of applications, ensuring seamless integration and delivery processes. Your role will involve extensive collaboration with high-performing teams, supporting multiple projects and personnel. You will utilize your knowledge of source version control, build/release tools, and CI/CD methodologies to enhance our operational effectiveness. Additionally, your familiarity with Linux and scripting languages such as Bash and Python will be essential in executing your responsibilities effectively. As a key member of our team, you will also develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Jenkins, Packer, Terraform, and Ansible, while also gaining experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. Responsibilities

  • Support customers by building and shaping the Air Force organization.
  • Create and maintain documentation for implementations.
  • Develop, test, and maintain containerized applications.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise with hundreds of applications.
  • Work with cloud systems and architectures (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
  • Utilize Linux and scripting (Bash, Python) for various tasks.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Jenkins, Packer, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Configure and use CI/CD automated pipelines, such as Jenkins.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Deep understanding of agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications.
  • Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud systems and architectures (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
  • Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Bash and Python).
  • Extensive experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Jenkins, Packer, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Development experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with microservice architectures (REST, JMS, AMQP).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Istio.
