About the position
The Software Product Owner at Raytheon will support the Command-and-Control Communications Collaboration Cybersecurity and Intelligence (C5I) product line and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software Department. This role involves managing the agile backlog for a scrum team, coordinating software build deployments, and providing technical guidance to ensure high-quality software delivery aligned with Agile and DevSecOps principles.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate and support execution of scrum team scope and agile backlog.
- Oversee programs tooling and DevSecOps infrastructure including Build Pipeline Management.
- Provide periodic reports of development environment build health, including automated test status and static analysis reports.
- Provide technical guidance and peer reviews to scrum team members.
- Manage technical solutions along with cost and schedule, including managing earned value.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience in software build deployments and containerization methodologies (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience developing software in a team-based development environment using Agile Scrum or Kanban framework.
- Excellent communication, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Proven experience leading an engineering team using Agile Scrum or Kanban framework.
- Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements.
- Prior experience with the C5I product line or other DOD programs.
- Ability to understand command and control and/or radar technology in software design, integration and test.
- Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews.
