About the position

The DevSecOps Product Owner at Raytheon is responsible for managing and coordinating the execution of a scrum team's scope and agile backlog, focusing on tooling and DevSecOps infrastructure. This role supports the Command-and-Control Communications Collaboration Cybersecurity and Intelligence (C5I) product line and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software Department, ensuring high-frequency, high-quality deployments while adhering to Agile and DevSecOps principles. The position requires technical guidance, reporting on development environment health, and managing technical solutions alongside cost and schedule performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate and support execution of scrum team scope and agile backlog.
  • Oversee the programs tooling and DevSecOps infrastructure including Build Pipeline Management.
  • Facilitate collaboration across multiple development and deployment teams.
  • Monitor continuous build and assess risks of updated tools.
  • Provide periodic reports on development environment build health, including automated test status and static analysis reports for software vulnerabilities.
  • Offer technical guidance and conduct peer reviews for scrum team members.
  • Manage technical solutions along with cost and schedule, including earned value management.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience in software build deployments and containerization methodologies (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Proven experience leading an engineering team using Agile Scrum or Kanban framework.
  • Experience managing technical, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Experience developing software in a team-based environment using Agile methodologies.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements.
  • Prior experience with the C5I product line or other DOD programs.
  • Ability to understand command and control and/or radar technology in software design, integration, and test.
  • Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews.
  • Proven experience in large, complex defense systems.
