About the position

CACI is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support DevSecOps transformation within the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC) in Huntsville, Alabama. This role involves providing on-site and remote assistance to stakeholders, collaborating on projects to enhance software development practices, and ensuring the integration of security within the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote assistance to functional stakeholders to support training, upskilling, and culture change during the DevSecOps transformation.
• Collaborate with existing projects to analyze, assess, and identify opportunities for enhancements based on lean-agile software development principles.
• Communicate with project leadership and government stakeholders regarding the status of current and planned tasks.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• 14+ years of industry experience
• 3+ years of experience with development, integration, and/or testing of complex software systems for Department of Defense projects.
• Experience with Lean-Agile Software Development principles and best practices, preferably with Scrum Master or Agile coaching experience.
• Experience with Application Lifecycle Management tools including GitLab, Atlassian, and/or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with software source code management tools such as Git and Subversion.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with DevSecOps tool chains and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containerization technologies or microservices architectures.
• Experience with test automation and automated test scripting.
• Active or previous certifications related to Agile Software Development.
