About the position

The Boeing Company is seeking DevSecOps Software Engineers at both Associate and Mid-Level to join the Disruptive Computing & Network (DC&N) team. This role involves designing and implementing infrastructure solutions and maintaining modern system deployments across multi-tenant environments using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows. The successful candidates will work in a fast-paced agile environment, contributing to innovative technologies in aerospace, including AI/ML, cybersecurity, and advanced simulation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines for automated deployment of mission-critical systems.
  • Create scripts and templates to build development systems.
  • Leverage technical knowledge of infrastructure software and security to maintain and improve complex infrastructure.
  • Perform analysis, design, develop and implement activities to install, configure, and maintain infrastructure and software components.
  • Ensure alignment of use cases and objectives with architecture and security.
  • Provide guidance and direction to DevSecOps developers and administrators.
  • Troubleshoot application deployment issues.
  • Research and analyze issues related to application integration, testing, and performance, providing recommendations and resolutions.
  • Interface effectively with multiple technical disciplines in a team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, and deployments using a DevOps tool chain (GitLab, Nexus, Artifactory).
  • 1+ years of experience with Linux system administration.
  • 2+ years of experience with Terraform.
  • 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker containers, and Ansible.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with automation and provisioning of isolated/air-gapped environments.
  • 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Poly.
  • 5+ years of experience with object-oriented software development (C/C++, Java).
  • Experience developing guidelines and best practices for on-premise development & implementations including containers and container orchestration.
  • Experience with architecting and automating disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience using Agile or SAFe methodology.
  • Experience with security controls such as DoD RMF.
