About the position

The DevSecOps Solution Architect role at GDIT focuses on transforming technology into opportunities by providing subject matter expertise in DevSecOps, Agile Development, and Security Engineering. This position is integral to the Intel and Homeland Security Chief Technology Office, responsible for technical solutioning and ensuring cybersecurity is integrated into application architecture and development. The role involves designing CI/CD pipelines, conducting software engineering research, and creating reusable capabilities to support customer missions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and configure CI/CD pipelines using industry best practices and tools.
  • Conduct software and systems engineering and research to develop new capabilities, ensuring cybersecurity integration.
  • Deploy and configure automated testing solutions to ensure high software quality prior to deployment.
  • Build and configure automated deployment routines.
  • Participate in Agile planning and support Agile development cadence.
  • Build solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Create reusable capabilities adaptable to different customer environments.
  • Conduct technology research to evaluate best practices in support of DevSecOps and IaC.
  • Align implementations with Software Development Life Cycle and ITIL best practices.
  • Create and publish strategies and guides for DevSecOps platforms.
  • Develop and publish engineering architectural artifacts for organizational reuse.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of related experience in systems engineering.
  • Comprehensive DevSecOps experience, including tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Jira, Git, and automation tools.
  • Experience with software containerization, container security, and scanning.
  • Experience with AWS and Azure implementations.
  • Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity framework (NIST 800-53).
  • 5+ years in solution and architecture development concepts and processes.
  • Proven ability to lead development of technical data packages and system architecture designs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive level interface.
  • Experience managing the system engineering lifecycle.
