About the position

The DevSecOps Technical Lead position at Robert Half is a contract-to-hire role focused on leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of DevSecOps platforms. The role requires extensive experience in Azure DevOps and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security, compliance, and efficiency in software development processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect the DevSecOps platforms to meet scalability, performance, and security requirements.
  • Conduct technology evaluations and re-engineering activities to support strategy definition and continuous improvement activities.
  • Integrate and manage a suite of DevSecOps tools including source code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and security scanning tools.
  • Implement automated KPIs to measure and report DevSecOps platform utilization against agreed SDLC standards.
  • Establish and enforce DevSecOps policies, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of DevSecOps engineers globally, providing technical guidance, training, and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, operations, security, and business stakeholders to promote collaboration and alignment across the organization.
  • Monitor the DevSecOps platform for security incidents and anomalies and lead incident response efforts to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity of the platforms.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with Azure DevOps is required.
  • Proficient in communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to express complex ideas clearly.
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting, including interpreting data and making actionable recommendations.
  • Proven experience in delivering training to various audiences, including technical and non-technical staff.
  • Understanding of operations, including project management and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with policy creation and enforcement to ensure company-wide adherence.
  • Proven design skills related to the build and release process.
  • Experience in leadership, including motivating a team and managing conflict.
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and experience in financial management.
  • Understanding of security protocols to ensure compliance and protect sensitive data.
  • Familiarity with regulations, including industry-specific rules and general business laws.
  • Proven experience in implementation related to build release processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance management and ensuring adherence.
  • Understanding of industry practices and the ability to adapt to changing trends.
  • Experience working with stakeholders, including negotiation and expectation management.
  • Proven experience with integration of disparate systems and software.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools to maintain system health.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Understanding of best practices within the industry and implementation capabilities.
  • Experience with KPI reporting to drive improvement.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and ability to work within this framework.
  • Proven experience with configuration management related to build release processes.
  • Knowledge of GitHub and effective use of the platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships and managing conflict.
