About the position

As a Senior DevSecOps at Kenility, you will be an integral part of a close-knit team of innovative developers, engineers, and designers dedicated to creating and delivering top-notch products to the market. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and soft skills, as you will be responsible for ensuring the security and efficiency of our development and operations processes. You will work in a dynamic environment where collaboration and creativity are key to success. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and reliability of our software solutions, making you a vital player in our mission to provide exceptional products to our customers. In this position, you will leverage your extensive experience in DevOps and DevSecOps to support and maintain Linux servers, particularly those running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). You will utilize your hands-on experience with AWS, Puppet, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bitbucket to streamline our development processes. Your proficiency in writing Terraform configurations and working with containerization tools like Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes/EKS will be essential in deploying and managing our applications in both cloud and on-premises environments. You will also be expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills by managing large and complex projects with minimal supervision. Your ability to communicate effectively and document processes clearly will be crucial in ensuring that all team members are aligned and informed. As a self-driven team player, you will take ownership of incidents and support your colleagues as needed, fostering a collaborative and proactive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Linux servers, particularly those based on RHEL.
  • Utilize AWS, Puppet, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bitbucket for development processes.
  • Write Terraform configurations and work with containerization tools like Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes/EKS.
  • Deploy, operate, and maintain software in live production environments.
  • Lead large and complex projects independently with minimal supervision.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and ensure their efficiency and security.
  • Document processes and produce clear and concise content for team collaboration.
  • Take ownership of incidents and support the team as needed.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in a DevOps/DevSecOps role within software organizations.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS, Puppet, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bitbucket.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in writing Terraform configurations and working with containerization tools like Docker, ECS, and/or Kubernetes/EKS.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, or Python.
  • Experience in managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, routing, firewalls, and DNS applicable to both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large and complex projects independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian products like Confluence and Jira, as well as agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
