About the position

The Developer Advocate (Game Development) role at JetBrains involves promoting JetBrains Rider and related tools to developers and partners. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in game development and strong communication skills to create content, provide support, and engage with the community. The ideal candidate will have experience with game engines like Unreal Engine, Unity, and Godot, and will contribute to the advocacy team by creating educational materials and representing JetBrains at events.

Responsibilities

• Create content such as blog posts, tutorials, and screencasts.
• Write code samples or contributions to the product.
• Inspire customers with case studies demonstrating JetBrains tools.
• Teach users how to utilize technologies and JetBrains tools effectively.
• Speak at conferences and assist at event booths.
• Deliver talks at JetBrains and partner events.
• Visit customers on-site with JetBrains sales representatives.
• Engage with users and provide feedback to product teams.
• Offer technical support through various channels.

Requirements

• 5+ years of development experience.
• Knowledge of C++/.NET and gaming technologies.
• Awareness of gaming industry needs, including current technologies and trends.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Comfortable with public speaking and giving presentations.
• Ability to quickly understand and experiment with new technologies.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with JetBrains Rider.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in developer advocacy.
• Familiarity with C++ and Unreal Engine.
• Experience with .NET and Unity.
