About the position

The AWS Global Social Media Team (GSMT) is seeking an experienced Developer Advocate Social Media Manager to enhance the Developer Experience (DevEx) stakeholder group through effective social content creation, delivery, publishing, and performance reporting. This role is pivotal in shaping how developers interact with the AWS brand and its products across various social media platforms. As the Developer Advocate Social Media Manager, you will coordinate content creation with a diverse array of content creators, developer community members, and existing developer advocates within the DevEx team. You will also collaborate with DevEx to develop new content tailored for developers, manage creative agencies, and ensure adherence to AWS brand guidelines and governance. In this role, you will analyze and report on social media performance metrics, define and implement social media goals, strategies, content requirements, and intended outcomes in collaboration with the Developer Experience stakeholder group. You will manage daily meetings with all stakeholders to foster a vibrant social experience for developers, ensuring that we meet them where they are. Your efforts will help increase the adoption of new products and features by creating high-quality content such as videos, blog posts, or podcasts aimed at engineers and technical end users. Additionally, you will work closely with the Marketing team to create and publish product-focused social media and newsletter content. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies that align with business objectives, enhancing the perception of the AWS brand. This includes launching social programs to bolster the credibility of the AWS brand globally, focusing on brand advertising, public relations, and global campaigns. You will execute social media campaigns both independently and as part of multi-channel advertising efforts, while managing the day-to-day operations of social media channels, including content creation, publishing, and community management. Cross-functional collaboration with DevEx and partnerships with external media agencies and social media platforms will be essential, as will seeking out new and emerging platforms to expand AWS's reach.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with external media agencies and social media platforms, while seeking out new and emerging platforms.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables).
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Tableau.
  • Experienced social media marketing manager.
