The Developer/Analyst, Web & Mobile Solutions at the American Hospital Association (AHA) plays a crucial role in the development, implementation, and support of web applications. This hybrid position involves providing technical support, managing projects, and collaborating with various teams and external vendors to enhance the organization's web presence. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure optimal outcomes for web-related initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd tier support for AHA websites, including bug fixes and enhancements.
• Create, plan, configure, and implement solutions for web applications.
• Develop techniques, tools, and standards to support assigned projects.
• Research and implement new functionality and UX enhancements for existing applications.
• Conduct internal quality assurance reviews, analysis/design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation for web development activities.
• Work with various operating units and vendors to develop, implement, and support web systems/applications.
• Train colleagues on tools used to manage website content and provide knowledge transfer for IT support purposes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation in an organized manner as systems are enhanced or modified.
• Establish technical specifications based on business and functional requirements.
• Oversee project activities, including requirements gathering, planning, development, implementation, and vendor engagements.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new tools or applications to increase efficiency and effectiveness of web development efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3 years of experience with the full web development lifecycle, including collaboration on cross-functional teams to define and implement web projects.
• Expertise in translating business regulations to technical design documentation and process flow diagrams.
• Expertise in providing technical customer service and support.
• Intermediate experience with object-oriented PHP programming techniques.
• Experience developing and administering web content management systems, specifically Drupal.
• Experience working in a virtual environment with cloud hosting.
• Experience with committing and merging code using Git or similar tools.
