About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions within the healthcare sector. This position involves crafting and executing data queries, presenting information through reports and visualizations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to meet data demands and ad hoc requests. The developer is responsible for ensuring that data is organized efficiently to support decision-making processes across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions.
• Craft and execute queries for data upon request.
• Present information through reports and visualizations.
• Work with managers, directors, and the executive team to build and maintain components of the business intelligence data warehouse.
• Deliver monthly data demands and fulfill ad hoc requests.
• Utilize available database and web presentation software to create new BI applications and reports.
• Design, build, test, and deploy user-friendly database solutions for decision makers.
• Respond in a timely manner to individual data requests across the organization.
• Maintain database solutions and the current Business Intelligence website.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems with 2-4 years of experience working with databases, or a Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated field with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong database skills and ability to present information in a user-friendly manner.
• Ability to understand database architecture and work with a data dictionary.

Nice-to-haves

• Health care experience with EPIC software.
• Financial experience with Lawson software.
• Mastery of SQL.
• Proficiency in web programming components such as .NET, ColdFusion, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in Crystal Reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Tableau.
