About the position

The Developer Experience Engineer (DATA) role focuses on automating processes, developing integrated solutions, and enhancing the data and reporting platform for engineering and business teams. The position requires a seasoned engineer with expertise in coding, serverless architectures, and data manipulation, aimed at improving the developer experience and productivity at Nike.

Responsibilities

• Automate repeatable processes and develop integrated solutions.
• Work on technical solutions that serve engineering, data, or business-facing teams.
• Identify data and reporting opportunities to enhance developer experience and productivity.
• Perform data ingestion and manipulation in AWS.
• Define GraphQL APIs to expose data.
• Provide visualization of developer data via Grafana.
• Orchestrate automated tests to reduce manual effort and improve product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline or equivalent relevant education, training, and experience.
• 3+ years of development experience using AWS.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Proficient in programming using Python and Shell Scripting.
• Experience in designing and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience in containerization using Docker.
• Comfortable working in Mac and Linux environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS Glue.
• Experience with PySpark.
• Experience working on data visualization with Grafana.
