About the position

The Developer III - Database position at Cencora involves designing, developing, administering, optimizing, and managing database applications primarily using SQL Server TSQL. The role focuses on gathering and interpreting business requirements for financial and healthcare systems, including large data warehouses, and consulting with the business to create logical designs for new solutions. The position also includes responsibilities for code reviews, performance analysis, and supporting code deployment and automation within the data analytics division.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, administer, optimize, and manage database applications using SQL Server TSQL.
• Gather and interpret business requirements for financial and healthcare systems, including large data warehouses.
• Consult with the business to determine logical design for new business solutions according to existing data architecture.
• Perform code reviews, analyze execution plans, and refactor inefficient code.
• Configure, integrate, and support code deployment, automation, systems and software, DevOps/Cloud platforms, and security within the data analytics division.
• Participate in Provider platform daily status calls and perform production level troubleshooting and identification of performance issues.
• Review legacy processing area for Provider platform.
• Handle support requests, monitor inbox, and address any automation requests or issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Systems Management, or related field.
• 4 years of experience utilizing TSQL for management and optimization of SQL Server data platforms.
• Experience with SQL Server Administration, including knowledge of jobs, backup, security management, and optimal performance settings.
• Experience configuring, supporting, and managing ETL automation with SQL Server Integration Services.
• 2 years of experience utilizing Powershell for automation or management of DevOps/Cloud platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure Data Factory and DevOps Pipeline.
• Familiarity with Qlikview, SAS, and Dimensional Insights.
