About the position

The Developer III - Database position at Intrinsiq Specialty Solutions, Inc. involves designing, developing, administering, optimizing, and managing database applications primarily using SQL Server TSQL. The role requires collaboration with analysts and users to gather business requirements for financial and healthcare systems, including large data warehouses. The developer will also consult on logical designs for new business solutions, perform code reviews, and troubleshoot performance issues within the analytics lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, administer, optimize, and manage database applications using SQL Server TSQL.
• Gather and interpret business requirements for financial and healthcare systems.
• Consult with the business to determine logical design for new business solutions.
• Perform code reviews and analyze execution plans.
• Re-factor inefficient code and optimize performance settings.
• Configure, integrate, and support code deployment and automation.
• Utilize SQL Server Integration Services, DevOps Pipeline, Azure Data Factory, and Powershell.
• Participate in daily status calls and troubleshoot production-level issues.
• Monitor support requests and address automation requests or issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Systems Management, or related field.
• 4 years of experience utilizing TSQL for management and optimization of SQL Server data platforms.
• Experience with SQL Server Administration, including jobs, backup, security management, and performance settings.
• Experience configuring, supporting, and managing ETL automation with SQL Server Integration Services.
• Utilization of Reporting Services for configuration, management, and performance monitoring.
• 2 years of experience utilizing Powershell for automation or management of DevOps/Cloud platforms.
