About the position

The Developer III - Database position at Cencora involves designing, developing, administering, optimizing, and managing database applications primarily using SQL Server TSQL. The role requires collaboration with analysts and users to gather business requirements for financial and healthcare systems, including large data warehouses. The developer will also be responsible for code reviews, performance analysis, and ensuring adherence to security protocols within the data analytics division.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, administer, optimize, and manage database applications using SQL Server TSQL.
• Gather and interpret business requirements for multiple financial and healthcare systems.
• Consult with the business to determine logical design for new business solutions according to existing data architecture.
• Perform code reviews and analyze execution plans to refactor inefficient code.
• Configure, integrate, and support code deployment and automation within the data analytics division.
• Participate in daily status calls and troubleshoot production-level performance issues.
• Review legacy processing areas for the Provider platform and handle support requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Systems Management, or related field.
• 4 years of experience utilizing TSQL for management and optimization of SQL Server data platforms.
• Experience with SQL Server Administration, including jobs, backup, security management, and performance settings.
• Experience configuring, supporting, and managing ETL automation with SQL Server Integration Services.
• 2 years of experience utilizing Powershell for automation or management of DevOps/Cloud platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Reporting Services for configuration and management.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and DevOps Pipeline.
