About the position

The Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 position is a remote contract role focused on planning, developing, testing, and documenting computer programs. The role requires evaluating user requests for new or modified programs, particularly in areas such as financial management, human resources, and technical systems analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with business partners to automate processes and improve existing systems, with a strong emphasis on Identity Access Management (IAM) and Okta solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, tests, and documents computer programs.
  • Evaluates user requests for new or modified programs to determine feasibility, cost, and time required.
  • Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
  • Formulates plans outlining steps required to develop programs using structured analysis and design or object-oriented development.
  • Performs advanced computer systems analysis work, coordinating planning, budgeting, and analysis of user requirements.
  • Works with business partners to automate processing or improve existing systems.
  • Implements management and automation of processing or improvement of existing systems.
  • May plan, assign, and/or manage the work of others.
  • Performs business use case analysis and recommends solutions with Okta.
  • Conducts hands-on technical design, configuration, development, integrations, and troubleshooting of IAM/Okta solutions.
  • Automates Okta solution deployments to deliver high-quality software.
  • Implements user onboarding and offboarding automation with seamless communication between directories and applications.
  • Documents data flow and deployment architecture diagrams including various Okta integrations.
  • Leads and ensures best practices and methodologies are applied to design, deployment, and operations.
  • Provides technical oversight, review, and quality control throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in programming and systems analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Identity Access Management (IAM) and Okta solutions.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
