About The Position

The ServiceNow Developer at Battelle is responsible for the administration and development of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring system stability and functionality. This role involves troubleshooting incidents, developing solutions to meet business needs, configuring workflows, and integrating with third-party systems. The developer collaborates within an agile team environment to deliver high-quality solutions and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems related disciplines; five years of experience as a developer; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
• 1+ years experience as a ServiceNow developer or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, or AngularJS.
• Experience integrating cloud solutions with on-premises solutions and with other cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with ITIL and IT Service Management.
• Experience with AJAX, JSON, and integration techniques.
• Self-starter with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience administering or developing ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, Discovery, SAM Pro, SPM, and/or IRM.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of multi-department teams on large enterprise projects.
• ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Systems Administrator or Certified Application Developer.

Responsibilities

• Supports the administration and maintenance of ServiceNow by reviewing, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents and requests.
• Develop solutions in ServiceNow to meet business requirements and improve functionality of the system.
• Configure out-of-the-box workflows and create/maintain custom workflows, business rules, UI policies, and scripts.
• Integrate ServiceNow applications with third-party systems and applications via APIs and web services.
• Oversee the daily operations of the ServiceNow platform, including monitoring performance, managing updates, and ensuring system stability.
• Manage data imports, exports, and integrations with other systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, customizations, and development processes.
• Analyze existing programs and formulate logic for new systems.
• Devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, perform coding and tests/debugs for a wide range of programs using creativity.
• Analyze requirements and maintain, test, and integrate applications components.
• Recommend and implement changes in development maintenance and system standards.
• Maintain current knowledge and skills on relevant topics and technologies.
