About the position

The Developer Support Analyst plays a crucial role in a hybrid engineering and support team, focusing on the transition of the real estate industry from legacy systems to modern API-driven products. This position is responsible for troubleshooting developer inquiries, providing support for API integration, and ensuring effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve developer questions via email or phone regarding API authentication and integration.
  • Escalate problems to other internal teams when solutions require software or data configuration changes.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for MLS clients in configuring their APIs and answering questions.
  • Support MLS clients utilizing the RETS legacy product and address their inquiries.
  • Engage with product and development teams to provide product feedback and help shape the future of APIs.
  • Communicate complex technical challenges and solutions to non-technical clients.
  • Submit clearly articulated bug tickets for the development team and keep customers updated on their progress.
  • Identify common questions and concerns and create user-facing documentation to address them.
  • Keep internal documentation and technical process outlines up to date.

Requirements

  • Superb verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great organizational skills and the ability to keep on task with minimal supervision.
  • Associates Degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional/educational technical experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with XML or JSON data payloads.
  • Ability to read log files, use data visualization tools, and developer tools.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with a scripting language (such as PHP or Ruby).
  • CLI experience, particularly with Unix/Linux or basic networking commands.
  • Prior experience in the real estate industry.
  • Familiarity with the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) Web API standard or Real Estate Transaction Standard (RETS).
